10 Reasons Why Idaho is THE Best Place to Hunt in the West in 2014

1. Tags…Idaho has tags 2. Game…Idaho has always, and is doing even more so now, producing good QUALITY elk, deer and bear, and now we can even hunt wolves.

Good Guys Win One!

It appears that finally, logic, laws and good common sense has prevailed over anti-wolf emotional sentiment for once. A federal judge has denied a lawsuit for a temporary restraining order against active IDFG participation in wolf management in the Frank Church wilderness.

Time to put in for some Idaho Spring Controlled Hunts

Most people know my passion for Idaho is the fact we have over the counter (OTC) tags, but in certain areas and with certain species controlled hunts are needed for better control of wildlife management. Now is the time to put in for Idaho spring bear controlled hunts…that is if you are not choosing to hunt a general season area.

Come See Us in the IOGA booth at the Sheep Show

Coming up January 22-25, 2014 in Reno, Nevada is the Sheep Show by the Wild Sheep Foundation. IOGA (Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association) will have a booth there and we will have on hand for visitors a new 2014 IOGA directory as well as IDFG (Idaho Fish and Game) sheep, goat and moose regulations along with general hunting information regulation booklets.

Show Season Is Over. Time to Get Serious

Well “show season” has drawn to a close and we are grateful to have been able to see some old friends and to meet some new ones, and truly grateful for those who booked a 2013 hunt with us. We look forward to a successful hunting season this year.

It Is Show Season Again!

Heading towards spring each year can only mean 1 thing, it is show season again! We are attending 2 shows this year. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Show in Las Vegas, NV from Feb 28 to March 3 and the the Salt Lake ISE show March 14-17.

Application Season Begins

It seems that after the first of each year begins the first “hunting season”. That season where you out in for tags in several western states and “hope” you can go hunting. Idaho has that season as well, but central Idaho where all the big deer, elk, bears and wolves are, still has OTC tags.

Happy New Year!

As we close the door on 2012…and fortunately for all of us the Mayans appeared to be wrong, We really want to say a big thanks to those who hunted with us! We enjoyed each and everyone of you. We are glad so many youth hunters made it into the woods this year with there Dad’s and at times extended family and friends.
